Pantophobie are nine phobias of average duration, the record as a whole does not exceed one hour. Phobias that consume our ears track after track.
Alektorophobie has the right vocalizes at the right moments. It even make us want to have a chicken phobia!
The story of my life could start like this:
Once upon a time black metal and heavy metal filled my head all day long. Now with the right distance, the ear has long been open to other sonorities but there is always that band that joins the best of all musical worlds where I have been and where I like to walk. Ni are one of these bands!
And it is in the Lachanophobie that I do not contain a smile. Any one of us when we were kids went through this, maybe not in phobia mode but in the form of aversion.
And if there is something that grabs me deeply to this sound is the brutal bass lines and their constant presence well defined by the hands of the bass payer Benoit Lecomte. And, of course, the moment that takes us to an almost funk groove in the middle of the vegetable escape.
Leucosélophobie is terrible, and for those who write is a relatively common evil but how to put it in audio version is a challenge well exceeded! The guitars speak louder, really louder. And it stayed on repeat for a while.
Catagelophobie naturally includes us in his universe of vocalizations that for one moment lead me to the times when ZEN were in the Top in Portugal. There is no way to resist searching in the phobias dictionary, aka google, the meaning of this.
In Kakorraphiophobie there is no escaping of the darker environment that is approaching in the middle of the track. And it's in this moment that taking a look at the Davor Vrankić website is indispensable. The right soundtrack to the right site!
Fear of speaking and fear of walking (Lalophobie and Stasophobie) are two phobias that do not follow the Ni. Ni is to hear loud and clear, and they have legs to walk a long way! The end of the record announces itself in such a blatant way that it is difficult not to press the play button again.
A well composed record from beginning to the end, with the right dynamics in the right place and a universe of sounds and artwork to know!
